The department of environmental affairs is inviting fulltime unemployed students to apply for bursaries, to be awarded for the 2012 academic year, in the relevant fields of study. Bursaries are available within the following fields of study: • Analytical Chemistry• Marine Science • Oceanography • Landscape architecture • Landscape horticulture • Zoology • Biological science • Oceanography • Environment management/Science/conservation/natural resource economics/GIS • Natural science/environmental management • Biotechnology • Environmental law • Policy and development studies • Biodiversity and conservation • Hons Geo informatics • Environmental conflict management • Urban Design Consideration will be given to previously disadvantage and disabled South Africans students who have successfully completed their first year of undergraduate study or those who are currently registered for postgraduate studies. However, strongly motivated applications from first-year students within the above mentioned fields of study will also be considered.
