Boston City Campus was founded by lecturer, accountant and entrepreneur Ari Katz in 1991, and has since expanded into 40 colleges countrywide. In 1997 it opened a Boston Business College, and in 2001 the Boston City Campus and Business College merged into one educational identity. Today, the university has over 20 000 students. Boston offers UNISA degrees, as well as diplomas in IT, management, hospitality and leisure, accounting, law, the service industry, secretarial and office, sports management, multi-media and HIV/AIDs counselling. Among its strong points, Boston City Campus and Business College has small classes – allowing students greater attention per lecturer – an established history of learning, the correct departmental registrations, in-depth career consulting, excellent pass rates and a vibrant campus life.
