So, you've decided to apply to your local FET College? Congratulations! As a public FET College student, you can expect to gain both practical and theoretical knowledge, exposure to your chosen industry, as well as a meaningful qualification without paying the kind of money that will land you in student debt before the launch of your career.

Boland FET College consists of five campuses: Caledon, Paarl, Stellenbosch, Strand and Worcestor. One of the college’s strategic objectives is to deliver relevant needs-driven education and training (that can lead to employment), to the people who need it most.

Northlink FET College gets its name from a combination of “North”, indicating its geographical position, and the “link”, describing the initial linking of four former colleges which, more importantly, form a critical link between school education and the world of work.

Nothern Cape Urban FET College operates on two campuses in Kimberley: one is in the central business district, known as the City campus, and the other is in Vergenoeg, a township of Kimberley and also known as Moremogolo campus.

In 2002, four technical colleges in the North West merged to form Orbit FET College. The first letters of each of the former training institutions created the word “ORBIT” (O for Odi, R from Rustenburg, B from Brits and T from Temba, while the letter “I” was added from the word “Institution”.

Mopani South East FET College comprises three campuses and a hotel school. The Sir Val Duncan campus is in Namakgale, the Mapulaneng campus is in Acornhoek, and the Phalaborwa campus and the Mosate Hotel School are in Phalaborwa.

Capricorn College derived its name from the geographical line, the Tropic of Capricorn, which cuts across Limpopo. Two of the college's three campuses – the Polokwane and Seshego campuses – are located in Polokwane, Limpopo’s capital city.

In 2002, Port Shepstone and Enyenyezi Technical Colleges merged to form Esayidi FET College, and later the Kokstad campus was added. As a result, Esayidi has five campuses: Enyenyezi in Boboyi outside of Port Shepstone, Gamalakhe, Kokstad, Port Shepstone in Oslo Beach and Umzimkulu.
