![]() Northlink FET College gets its name from a combination of “North”, indicating its geographical position, and the “link”, describing the initial linking of four former colleges which, more importantly, form a critical link between school education and the world of work. One of Northlink College’s strengths – innovation in meeting skills needs – has been expressed in a number of ways. For instance, Northlink was the first to develop a Simulated Enterprise (SE) – or mock company, using workplace mirroring. Northlink also established a pre-matric and matric academic and professional golf programme, allowing top players to complete their schooling while advancing towards a professional level. In 2004, three students won the World Student Golf Championship.
Other critical skills include Toolmamking, Autotronics, Maritime Studies, Pipe-fitting, Civil Construction, Drama, Sport Management, Tourism, Hospitality, Financial Management and Information Technology. For more information, or to contact the college, visit Northlink FET College.
