The Presidency is offering internship opportunities to provide South African graduates and undergraduates, to gain workplace experience in the field of work that they have studied.

Applications will be welcomed from candidates in the following fields of study: Financial Management, Public Administration, Public Management, Office Management and Technology, Marketing, Political Science, Purchasing and Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Facilities, N6/ Diploma in Electrical engineering, Information Technology, Human Resourced Development, Law (LLB, LLM, B.Juris/Proc), Catering/Hospitality, International Relations.

The 12 month internship will commence on 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2013. Interns will receive a stipend of R3 500 per month and are encouraged to apply immediately as there are only 4o available positions.

Requirements

Applicants must be graduates in any of the field listed above or undergraduate students for whom an internship is a prerequisite to obtain their forma qualification. Applications must be submitted on a Z83 form, obtainable from any Public Service Department, stating the field to which the intern is applying from the above list, a CV, certified copies of certificates, transcripts and a letter from the institution for the undergraduates, Identity document must also be attached.

Failure to submit required documents will result in the application not being considered and candidates may not have been previously employed under any internship programme.

Applications must be submitted on form Z83 and should be accompanied by certified copies of qualifications, ID as well as a comprehensive CV in order to be considered. It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA). Correspondence will be limited to successful candidates only.
