The National Certificate in Wholesale and Retail Operations addresses skills and competencies for enabling entry-level employment and positions. After completing this learnership, you will be able to assess opportunities for further development and training in specialised areas of the Wholesale and Retail sectors. These areas include: Operations Merchandising Help Desk Operations Administration Stock Control Customer Service Visual Display Merchandising After you have successfully completed your training. You will be able to: Understand the whole and retail operations sector Provide customers with a high level of service Operate effectively and efficiently in your area of specialisation Admission Requirements Learners will be expected to be competent in Communications at NQF Level 1 and Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 1. The Open Learning Group will ensure that learners entering into this qualification are assessed on each of these learning areas.Language Policy The language for administrative matters is English. Classes are conducted in English.Duration of Qualification A total of 1200 notional hours are allocated to this course that comprises of classroom-based training and work-based learning which needs to be completed within a period of 12 months. Funding The Qualification Open Learning Group will offer training to organisations where 20 or more learners will form part of the training programme. Companies who pay skills levies to either the Wholesale and Retail Seta or FoodBev Seta can apply to the Setas for funding. There are various grants available during the course of the year that will allow organisations to claim such funding from these oganisations through their Workplace Skills Plans, Grants or Learnerships. Primary SETA Accreditation - ETDP SETA No 0231 Certification After successfully being found competent by our assessors and moderators learners will receive a Statement of Result issued by the W&R SETA which confirms that their details have been uploaded to the National Learner Record Database (NLRD). As soon as the Statement of Results are available, certificates will be printed bearing the W&R SETA logo and delivered to the learners or place of work.
