Invitation for unemployed graduates to participate in a one year learnership within the banking and microfinance sector
CLOSING DATE: 31 August 2010
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
Candidates with:
- A completed B Degree or a 3 Year Tertiary Qualification with major subjects such as financial accounting, economics,business economics, mathematics
- Major subjects such as biblical instruction, geography, arts, music, history, production management, etc will not beconsidered
- The BANKSETA welcomes applications from persons with disabilities (must provide a medical certificateconfirming the nature of the disability)
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Currently not permanently employed
- Currently not participating in a learnership
- Under the age of 30
- Effective communication in English (written and verbal)
- No criminal record
- Clear credit record
- Not involved in other studies from 1 Feb 2011 to 31 Jan 2012
- Present a professional image
- Provide a positive recommendation or official testimonial from a previousschool, learning institution, church, etc.
- Able to liaise or communicate with clients
- Only South African Citizens will be considered
A monthly allowance of R3 500 will be paid to successful applicants. There are no costs to you applying for this learnership

Fax, email or hand deliver all application forms to Kelly on or before 31 August 2010 as per details on the application forms
- Interviews will be conducted from August to October 2010 at a venue closest to you
- Candidates not contacted for an interview by end of October 2010, should assume that their application was unsuccessful
- Employment Equity targets will apply. The BANKSETA welcomes applications by learners with disabilities.
- Placement will be in Johannesburg , Midrand and Pretoria
- The applicant must be able to attend formal training blocks in Johannesburg and Pretoria and will be responsible for their own transport costs
